“Yoga Teacher Training – Discover How To Get The Best Yoga Teacher Training At Home – From The World Leader In Long-Distance Yoga Teacher Training And Certification…In As Little As 60 Days“
Dear Yoga Lover,
Are you thinking of becoming a yoga teacher and are looking for the right yoga teacher training or are you perhaps already a teacher and looking for recertification?
Free Yoga Teacher Training Advice
If you’ve not been able to find all the information you’re after — the answers to your biggest questions — about what it’s like to train and work as a yoga teacher and how to get certified then you’ve come to the right place.
Honestly, being a yoga teacher is an incredibly rewarding career. You may think at first that as you would be doing something you love that you have to forego high earnings. But, in fact, it’s actually the opposite.
Here’s what you’ll discover. Becoming a yoga teacher is not only rewarding but incredibly profitable (I’ll explain more about that a bit later).
The first thing that defines a yoga teacher as such is an ability to teach yoga. This includes both being well advanced in the study of yoga, as well as having natural teaching ability. A lack in either of these areas may put you at a disadvantage for teaching.
Most people become yoga teachers only after they have practiced the art for some time. They find that yoga centers them and helps them feel more grounded. They also have attained the physical skills necessary to demonstrate how to do a pose. Also, a potential yoga teacher must complete 200 hours of study with an instructor certified by the Yoga Alliance.
Some people, although gifted at yoga, do not make good yoga instructors. In order to fully explain how to do a pose, you must understand it. Some of the best teachers are those for whom yoga did not come naturally. Instead, they had to work at it for hours in order to master a single pose. But in that time, they learned the patience and little details necessary to fully explain each posture to their students.
Yoga Teacher Training Is A Rewarding Life Changing Career For You And Your Students
A yoga instructor helps people take the first steps towards improving their health. We live in a time when we need such people more than ever! From the abundance of fast food restaurants, to the rising expense of fresh and natural ingredients, people are in the worst state of health the world has ever seen. Yoga has a power to combat that.
Yoga is also used for healing. Many people turn to yoga after cancer to help them gently ease back into shape. People recovering from surgery also use yoga to help restore their range of motion. People with Parkinson’s Disease use yoga in conjunction with medication to help themselves maintain bodily control. Pregnant women turn to yoga as a way to keep in shape during pregnancy.
With a gentler approach to exercise, yoga appeals to those who might be scared off by the thought of running a mile or being beat up by a Jillian style trainer. People begin to find rest from the craziness of everyday life. As their muscles become more flexible, they become more relaxed with both their instructor and the other pupils. Deep friendships can be formed through synchronized sun salutations.
Now, when you think of a yoga teacher, what do you see? Most of us may immediately think of someone teaching in a studio. But in truth, you find yoga instructors teaching everywhere! Gyms and studios hire certified trainers. So do cruise ships, international resorts, spas, and yoga retreat centers. You can teach yoga out of your home, or even do a free yoga class in the park to build up your business. The potential for teaching opportunities is endless!
On top of that, the demand for yoga instructors has never been higher. As the population ages, they lean towards gentler forms of exercise. Also, yoga is great for beginners and people with health conditions. It can be used to treat those with bad knees, as well as those with bad backs. You can even adapt yoga to help people with poor muscle tone, including doing poses using chairs.
Yoga Teacher Training Considers Before You Start
Let’s begin with some things you must consider before you start your training.
There are a range of options available to you as far as training is concerned but you need to know first who you can trust for the right kind of yoga certification.
I’ve been researching yoga certification and courses for a number of years now. When I first started looking at a career as a yoga teacher there weren’t many options out there — I didn’t know anything about yoga teaching or how you could get certified — so I went online to gather information and see how easy it was to get qualified.
After visiting many yoga teacher training websites I realised that there were a lot of inferior teaching courses. I even saw one site that offered some kind of diploma for just a few dollars. I rang up my local gym to see if they’d heard of the course and they hadn’t and they told me about certain requirements they had when it came to hiring yoga teachers. I was quite surprised to learn that I was expected to have done 200 hours MINIMUM of training.
That seemed like a lot to me but as I began to look deeper into yoga certification I realised there’s actually more involved then striking a few poses and that if any course was going to be worthwhile — and ultimately make me employable as a yoga teacher — I would need detailed instruction.
Option 1 – Yoga Teacher Training Bootcamp
Yoga bootcamp is generally the most expensive option. You are looking at about $6000 for the course, lodging, food, and travel. You do get your certificate quickly with this method, but it will set you back a bit. You also will be away from family and job responsibilities for a few weeks.
Option 2 – Yoga Teacher Training At Local Studios
Local studios will occasionally offer training to gifted pupils. If you are currently taking a class, you can approach and the owner and see if they are certified to train yoga instructors. Not every studio is. Generally, it will cost at least $3000 for training at a studio. You will also need to learn at the studio’s pace.
Option 3 – Yoga Teacher Training By Correspondence Or Online
Finally, you can look into correspondence or home study. These are generally much less expensive than traditional training methods, but you do need to take care of where you get your degree from. There are programs currently available that allow you to work through the material at home, which does not interfere with your current work or personal life. You can continue with your job and your family as normal. However, it is important that you find a course which allows you to interact with your instructor frequently.
One advantage of home study is it allows you to take notes. When you are studying in person, you may be expected to just remember all the different Sanskrit words and Asanas. At home, you can take notes as you go through the material, which can be a big help if you are a visual learner.
If you are considering getting a home degree, make sure you get it from a place that only offers yoga certification. There are some all-in-one companies that teach yoga along with car repair, but you won’t get the best education on either.
Also, make sure the company you pick offers one-on-one support and training. That way, you can clear up questions you may run into going through the material on your own.
You should also check to see what your certification level will be once you finish the course. CYT is the minimum you need to start teaching in many places.
I found a site by the world’s leader in long distance and correspondence yoga teacher training, Paul Jerard, which detailed some of the things that could go wrong if I wasn’t adequately qualified (not only causing personal injury to myself but to my students that had serious legal consequences).
Paul started studying yoga back in 1963 in order to avoid knee surgery. His doctor was amazed by his results, and Paul himself fell in love with the practice. He went on to become a certified yoga teacher in 1987, and a master teacher in 1995. He’s published nine books and hundreds of articles on the art and study of yoga.
Paul is now the director of yoga teacher training at the Aura Wellness Center in Maine, and a well known expert in yoga teacher training. He created his Yoga Camp In a Box kits to give aspiring teachers an affordable option for CYT certification. The training kits are much less expensive than traditional methods, with prices starting as low as $150.
Paul has created the Yoga Teacher Training Camp In A Box – by far the most popular yoga certification home study course worldwide.
It’s a catchy name and pretty explains what it is in a nutshell – a home study yoga teacher certification course that’s delivered to your door — for you to study at your leisure.
I was really impressed to hear that Paul’s course has been created for people just like me – who have never done any yoga teaching and don’t want to have a misstep.
I love the fact that I don’t have to attend night courses every week, or actually lose a day’s pay having to attend courses during my work time.
I also love the fact that I can study at home, at my leisure, whenever it suits me, whatever the weather conditions are like outside.
It’s the most convenience yoga teacher training program I’ve been able to find in my research.
What makes Paul’s program special is that it’s a two pronged approach.
Of course you and I both know that it’s going to teach us about yoga. But there’s actually a lot covered.
Things like:
- anatomy
- physiology
- asanas
- modifications
- philosophy
- teaching methodologies
- chakras
- bandhas
- mudras
- yamas
- niyamas
- pranayama
- meditation and relaxation
- working with special populations (think kids and the elderly)
- teacher ethics
Of course, all that knowledge is a wonderful thing but even if you were the most amazing yoga instructor you could struggle paying your bills because….
The Average Yoga Instructor Has No Clue About How To Run A Business
That makes sense, doesn’t it?
Paul’s a pretty cluey guy himself and he realised that this was a big problem for yoga instructors so that’s why he added a second limb to his camp in a box.
You’ll learn in depth:
- yoga teacher business development
- communications for a yoga business
- marketing essentials for yoga instructors
- networking strategies to build your client list
So that’s why Paul developed a package that combined the best of both worlds – a course that would give you Internationally recognised yoga instructor credentials that you will need – and the business and marketing essentials to help you build a profitable career as a successful yoga instructor.
Of course, you and I know that everyone has questions. You have questions yourself — that’s why you’ve reached my yoga blog.
So Paul also decided to include UNLIMITED in person support with unlimited telephone and email support included FREE.
Your yoga instructor education is an investment into your future. It’s not going to be free wherever you go.
I don’t want to take advice from “just anyone” on the web. I wanted an expert to teach me.
Plus once I found out about the bonus items I really had no questions left that needed answering.
You’ll receive a Yoga Business Starter Manual – How To Grow Your Own Successful Yoga Business valued at $147 free.
You’ll also receive Aura Wellness Center’s Guided Relaxtion CD which will help you develop your own cueing techniques when guiding friends, family and your yoga students through a relaxation sequence or meditation.
You’ll then receive the Yoga Marketing 101 On DVD that will give you enough marketing strategies to earn $50,000 to $100,000 per year as an instructor.
You’ll learn important things like how to keep your yoga teaching business going in a positive direction – regardless of the economy.
You’ll also receive the bestselling “Chakra Balancing Kit”.
If you are looking for recertification or starting a whole new career in yoga teaching then I highly suggest you educate yourself about being a yoga teacher proeprly.
There are so many seemingly small details that could cause problems for you as an instructor if you haven’t learnt enough.
If you’re looking for an expert you can trust, I can give Paul’s home study course my seal of approval.

Dear Paul,
I would like to thank you for putting together such an incredible distance learning program. My knowledge of both the practical and theoretical components of Hatha Yoga has grown by leaps and bounds during my course of study. The guidance and critique of my written and practical work served well to round out the experience. It is with great confidence that I approach teaching as I feel very well prepared by the comprehensive training I received during my certification process. Thanks again for a terrific experience.
Warmest Regards,

“The Yoga Teaching Training Course was a very realistic price which made it affordable to access. The Videos and books were excellent, and the course was structured in such a way that allowed you to complete it at your own pace.
Not only does Paul “teach” he allows his compassionate spirit to shine through. This is the essence of a true Yoga Guru, whom I have been privileged to have trained under.
Many thanks and blessings. Keep up the good work.

Paul,
I am so excited to be able to write you about my experience with Aura’s Yoga Teacher Training. I did a lot of research before I decided to go with Aura Wellness. The materials I received were in-depth and professional but easy to understand. They covered every aspect of yoga from theory to practice to marketing to planning a class. I am happy to say I have been teaching yoga for several weeks now. I work for a studio and my employer was amazed at the depth of my knowledge and the polish of my classes. I have never been happier. I am looking over your other courses so I can continue my education. I love the newsletter and the videos and I really appreciate the support you gave me during this process. I feel very prepared to teach and to take my place among other yoga teachers. I can’t thank you enough.

‘Gaining my Level 1 Teacher Training accreditation through AURA Wellness Centre evoked a major transformation in my life, both personal and professional. The abundance of knowledge I acquired through the use of fantastic resources supplied in my AURA studies opened my eyes up to such an array of things that made me further appreciate the art of yoga in its entirety, and on a more personal level my body and its functions as well. But more importantly this knowledge made me more conscious of my future students’ individual limitations and abilities. Another thing that greatly enhanced my experience was Paul’s reliably speedy and helpful correspondance. I will most certainly continue my relationship with AURA.’
So in a nutshell, Paul – two massive thumbs up!
Many thanks,
Diana
Namaskar;
I would like to thank Aura Wellness Center for helping me achieve a quest I’ve been pursuing for many years. I am now an official Certified Yoga teacher. I have been studying Yoga for many years , but have never been certified to teach. Now, thank to the lessons from Aura Wellness Center, the staff and especially Paul Jerard, I have accomplished my goal. The Camp-in-a-Box instructions are very informative, and the help with starting one’s own Yoga buisness are extremely useful. I will continue to study with Aura Wellness Center.
To the staff at Aura Wellness Center, all the members, and Paul, Thank you again. I am on my way to a new career.
